Formerly, mines became oases
Since the Liumao Graphite Mine started in 1936, Jixi has been developing graphite for 77 years. During this period, it has experienced two "hot spots" in the 1980s and 1990s, gradually forming two core graphite development areas, Hengshan and Mashan. In recent years, as the "twin" of building "China's graphite industry capital", it is planned to be a new graphite material industrial park.
However, until the beginning of this century, the development of graphite in Jixi remained basically in the "original brand", especially the blind and disorderly development in history, which caused certain damage to the environment and has become a "hidden pain" in people's minds.
"We need both gold and silver, and green water and green mountains." Yang Baichun, Secretary of the Party Committee of Mashan District, said that, as a party committee and government, it must shoulder the historical responsibility of protecting the environment, and must adhere to protection in development and development in protection.
This year, Mashan District adopted the method of department level leading cadres and departments to guarantee and enterprises to take charge of restoration and governance. Under the extremely tight financial situation, an accumulative investment of 450000 yuan was invested. In spring and autumn, 18 abandoned mines for historical graphite mining were restored and managed, with a total of 650000 cubic meters of earth and stone backfilled and 130000 trees planted. Through restoration and management, more than 130 mu of deserted mines have been put on green again.
Zero discharge of flotation workshop
"In recent years, the environmental protection department has increased the environmental supervision on graphite beneficiation, and all enterprises in the city have completed environmental protection facilities in drying, screening and other links." Kuang Hongxing, deputy director of the Municipal Environmental Protection Bureau, introduced that Jixi had eliminated the original "drying kang" drying process of graphite mineral processing enterprises, or changed it to a gas producer for drying by burning coal gas, or to a type of coal stove for drying, or to a chain furnace+bag filter for drying, which basically solved the smoke and dust pollution.
People living in Hengshan and Mashan love and hate graphite. I love it because graphite is the main economic pillar of the local area, and many people rely on it for survival; I hate it because graphite dust is light and fine, and it is almost omnipresent. In the early years, due to backward process, graphite enterprises almost "bare" production, open flotation workshops, open packaging sites, and open transportation processes, and graphite dust fluttered in the wind to pollute the environment.
Over the past two years, Mashan District has required all graphite enterprises to "close the door" for production, packaging, "sealed" storage and transportation. Each enterprise has invested 1.5 million to 2 million yuan to strengthen environmental protection, and used water film dedusting, gas generator and other methods to control smoke and dust; The dust is treated by bag type dust removal, and the production water is recycled to save water and reduce wastewater discharge. The local environmental protection department conducts daily and night inspections irregularly. If it is found that the production workshop and packaging workshop are not tightly sealed and the wastewater is directly discharged, it shall be shut down for rectification.
A boss of a graphite beneficiation enterprise told the reporter that the environmental protection measure of bag dedusting not only solved the problem of graphite dust pollution, but also gave the enterprise an unexpected "harvest". It is reported that each enterprise can only collect 50 tons of high-quality graphite every month by bag dedusting. It is precisely because of such considerable economic benefits that the graphite beneficiation enterprises in Jixi have gradually become conscious behavior of enterprises to increase investment in environmental protection.
Hengshan District has strengthened the supervision and management of graphite production enterprises, and established a regulatory linkage mechanism of safety supervision, industry and information technology, and environmental protection. Promptly issue rectification instructions for the problems in safety production, environmental protection, occupational health and other aspects of the enterprise, guide the enterprise to formulate rectification measures and rectify within a time limit; Those who refuse to implement the regulatory instructions and do not meet the standards and requirements will be shut down for rectification. Since 2011, Northeast Asia Mineral Resources Co., Ltd., Puchen Graphite Co., Ltd., Huanyu Graphite Concentrator, Fuxiang Graphite Products Co., Ltd., Haoshi New Energy Materials Co., Ltd. and other graphite mining and processing enterprises have invested 34 million yuan in the transformation of environmental protection and dust removal facilities, and all graphite mining and processing have achieved zero emissions.
Tailings reservoir area is totally closed
At the beginning of November this year, the Party Committee and the People's Government of Mashan District learned that there is a technology that can solidify tailings sand, its hardness is comparable to that of high-grade cement, and it can also play a "water stable layer" in road construction and produce sidewalk slabs. They are making every effort to establish contact with the manufacturer, and are introducing this technology to eradicate the secondary dust problem of graphite tailings and turn waste into treasure.
This is another proof of Jixi's adherence to resource conservation and environmental friendliness in graphite development.
According to the introduction of Xing Guigui, vice mayor of Mashan District, in order to ensure the safe production of the existing 10 graphite flotation processing enterprises, the district has further increased the rectification and treatment of the graphite flotation tailings pond in the past two years, with a total investment of nearly 30 million yuan. In accordance with the industry management standards and requirements, the pace of the tailings pond transformation has been comprehensively accelerated. During the rectification and treatment period, they specially invited provincial and municipal experts to redesign all the 10 tailings ponds, and upgraded them one by one according to the design requirements. At present, after the joint acceptance of the expert group organized by the provincial and municipal safety supervision bureaus, seven tailings ponds have met the design requirements, obtained the safety production license, and the graphite tailings water has achieved closed cycle and "zero discharge"; The remaining three tailing ponds are also being upgraded according to the design requirements, so as to finally realize the closed cycle of graphite tailing water in the whole area and achieve "zero discharge".
In the interview, the reporter was pleased to find that a consensus has been reached in all parts of Jixi that the precious graphite resources should be fully and reasonably utilized and the mined graphite resources should be dried up. All regions actively encourage enterprises to introduce new technologies and develop projects for comprehensive utilization of tailings sand. Taking Mashan District as an example, the Aoyu Guangsha Brick Factory and Helida Brick Factory, which have been built successively, use tailings sand and fly ash to produce various hollow bricks, special bricks, building bricks, ceramic glass balls and other products; The proposed Binlong New Building Materials Company can utilize more than 70% of the graphite tailings.

It is worth noting that this promotion effect weakens as the distance between graphene and the crack increases. When the graphene size l>3.35 nm, graphene blocks the crack growth and the slip of subcrack dislocations. In addition, the distribution and angle of graphene can effectively change the crack growth path. The results of this study are helpful to understand the role of graphene in the failure of its aluminum matrix composites, It provides a reference for the design of high-performance graphene/aluminum matrix composites
